Words

I have a very dear friend who reminds me that words are very powerful. Remember the children’s verse ”Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me”? Well. That is a lie.

WORDS CAN, AND DO, HURT. BUT THEY DON’T HAVE TO. WORDS DO HAVE POWER. USE THEM WISELY.

So now, I am attempting to replace all the words from my ex about how it was my failings as a wife and general human being that made him cheat, lie and hide money from me, with new words. Here are some of my favourites.

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. ~ Winston Churchill

…there’s only so far a girl can be pushed before she becomes her own hero. ~ Caroline Peckham

If you are going through hell, keep going. ~Winston Churchill

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

That toxic monster you saw at the end…that is who they really are. The rest was a lie, a fairytale, an illusion of the truth. ~ Unknown

Imagine how different the world wold be if little girls were taught to set boundaries as often as they were taught to be polite. ~ Hailey Magee

A little shedding is needed to bloom like never before. ~ Hiral Nagda

Ask for help when needed. And take it when it is offered. ~ Ann Bishop

WORDS DO HAVE POWER. USE THEM WISELY.
